ZEHRA KHAN
Zehra Khan is a multidisciplinary artist and educator based in Chicago. Always playful and often absurdist, Khan uses unconventional found materials and methods to explore our relationships to the animal world.
Khan is American and Pakistani, born in Indonesia. She lived in Paris and Switzerland before moving to the States at age eleven. Zehra graduated from Skidmore College and received an MFA from the MA College of Art and Design low-residency program at the Fine Arts Work Center in 2009.
Zehra has attended numerous artist residencies including Yaddo, Ox-Bow, the Vermont Studio Center, the Studios of Key West, Art Space Sonahmoo in South Korea, and Space A in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Zehra had a solo show at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum in 2022. Since 2023, she teaches a summer art workshop at the Fine Arts Work Center called “Multimedia Experiments”.
