Elizabeth Giamatti is a filmmaker and visual artist based in Brooklyn, New York. She has worked in a variety of capacities in film and theater for over 35 years. As a producer, films include Pretty Bird (Sundance 2008), Cold Souls (Sundance 2009) and All Is Bright (Tribeca 2013). The hybrid feature she made and co-directed with Alex Sichel, A Woman Like Me, won a special jury prize for direction at SXSW 2015. She holds an M.A. in Cinema Studies from NYU, and an M.F.A. in Dramaturgy from the Yale School of Drama, and a A.B. in Semiotics from Brown University. Over the last 15 years, Giamatti’s photography-based visual art practice has taken up increasing space in her mind and heart.
